About Me
I began my career as a pediatric occupational therapist over 20 years ago working in Children's hospitals, Sensory Integration Clinics and Early Intervention Programs. After becoming a mom I started working in the public school system and found my true passion helping school aged children thrive in their "occupation" of learning.
I approach every child as if they were my own, developing an understanding of their unique personality, motivators, and goals. The highest quality of care blends empathy for every child with decades of professional experience and results in a tailored treatment plan. My goal is to provide the same level of care I would want for my own children.
I approach new patients by visiting the home, school or learning site to observe each kid in action while also getting to know the educators and/or parents who help them every day. I aim to be highly collaborative with teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, advocates, and parents in supporting the entire educational team. I will work hard to ensure my expertise compliments an individual's overall learning and development goals so the whole team can more effectively foster your child's potential.
Helping Hands Occupational Therapy is the result of 2+ decades of diverse work as a pediatric occupational therapist in 5 different states as well as teletherapy. My joy has been helping so many different students, families and colleagues in many different settings achieve positive outcomes and growth.
